Dearly Loved Ones, Do I…?
Colossians 3:12-17 NIV
”Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
• Have I put on the things of God and what Jesus put on? Do I look at how Jesus lives?
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.”
• Have I forgiven those I feel hurt by? Have I reconciled with those individuals if I’m able to?
“Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
• Do I forgive others because Jesus has forgiven me? I’m I greater than Jesus that I can’t forgive? Have you received his forgiveness so you can understand his love for you? Then you can forgive others.
“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
• Do I know that Love is the greatest thing to put on? Love covers ALL of our sins. God is Love.
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.”
• Do I realize how peace gives life and I can walk in the peace of God even while in the storms of life?
“And be thankful.”
• Do I have a grateful heart and express joy throughout my life?
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
• Does the overflow of my heart bear the glory of God so others see Jesus in my life?
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.“
• WOW – Do I overflow with the greatness of my Gods love for others so that they may experience the love that Jesus has for them?
How do I follow Jesus?
I keep my eyes fixed on Him – the author and perfecter of my Faith.
